Windows, best Windows98. Peace Zero should also work with more recent versions of Windows.
Audios: Why isn't there any sound to be heard?
You should have a soundcard and loudspeakers.
The Realplayer should be installed.
The RealPlayer lets your browser play streaming audio. That means that you must not download an audio file in order to be able to listen to it; it will be played automatically. But in order to listen, the RealPlayer must be installed in your browser. If it is not yet installed, you should download the RealPlayer plug-in for your operating system.
This may be necessary when you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or 5.5. or any Netscape 4 version. Later versions should include the RealPlayer or another player able to play real media files.
How to download the RealPlayer plug-in for your operating system:
On the Netscape plug-in download page (to which you will be connected automatically) scroll the page until you find the plug-in-symbol for your operating system, preferably Windows, and click on the symbol to download the RealPlayer plug-in. If you download by the left mouse button, you can control the download path. Please be careful to choose the FREE RealPlayer.
Please download this plugin also if you are using the MS Internet Explorer as browser (only versions 5.0 and 5.5 without RealPlayer installed).
You will need the RealPlayer plug-in not only for this internet-piece, but also for many other audio-applications. So it might be worth your time to download.
Please be patient: the download will take some time.
How to install the plugin:
If the download is complete, you should close all programs including your browser. Then you must search the npr8.exe in your Windows Explorer (no problem if you remember the downoad path). With a click on the exe-file you install the plugin.
How to control volume:
Software: In the panel at the bottom of your screen you should find a loudspeaker symbol for. Click the symbol to control volume.
Possibly you can also control volume by some "hardware" control; this might be specially the case for laptops.
